This is our tenth year of teaching people from all over the world the traditional ways to build wooden boats and the Tenth Annual Silva Bay Maritime Festival and we’d like you to come celebrate with us. The festivities start Friday April 18th with dinner and music at the Silva Bay Resort and Marina on Gabriola Island and end Sunday the 20th with a small boat regatta in the Bay. In between we have something for everyone . . . tours of restored workboats, seminars covering marine-related topics, model boat building for kids, a silent auction and much more – including the launching of the boats built by this year’s Wooden Boat Building students. Mark the dates on your calendar and plan to be here for the Party, it’s the perfect way to start this year’s boating season. See you there.
