Calibre Yacht Sales is now open for business at Mosquito Creek Marina. Founder Richard Evans, who formerly sold boats for Grand Yachts and Westerly Yacht Sales in Vancouver, says the new company is a full-service brokerage specializing both in pre-owned sail and powerboats as well as new yachts.
“Calibre’s ambition is not just to sell boats but to develop lifelong relationships with our clients by adding continual value to their boating experiences,” said Evans. “We’re focused on matching each client with the unique boat that meets their needs—not limiting ourselves to any one particular model or brand—as well as providing technical expertise, advice and ongoing support long after the purchase of a boat.”
Recognizing the importance of “word-of-mouth” advertising as a factor in buying and selling boats, Calibre Yacht Sales has developed the industry’s first Referral Rewards Program, which provides incentives to individuals who provide buyer and seller referrals to Calibre Yachts that result in final sales. The program provides an incentive range of 10–25 percent of Calibre’s gross commissions on the referred sale.
