For five decades, the Jericho Sailing Centre has been Vancouver’s home port for small, naturally powered watercraft. From sailing dinghies and kayaks to windsurfers, canoes, rowboats, SUPs, wingsurfers, outriggers, and a growing fleet of foiling craft, thousands of ocean lovers have launched their adventures from our shore every year.

Located on 4.5 acres along the south shore of English Bay, Jericho is home to nearly 2,000 boats and a dozen non-profit community clubs that give members access to an incredible range of craft and equipment. The school partners introduce more than 9,000 students each year to safe ocean recreation on Vancouver’s largest outdoor playground—shared with Canada’s largest port.

Operated by the Jericho Sailing Centre Association, the facility is publicly accessible, user-funded, and entirely independent of taxpayer dollars. Rentals and lessons are open to everyone—no membership required. For those looking for regular access, annual memberships are available: $125 for individuals and $178 for families.

Visitors are also welcome at the Galley Patio and Grill, a casual spot with the best view in Vancouver. Sit back and enjoy a panoramic scene that spans the North Shore Mountains, Spanish Banks, Bowen Island, Point Atkinson Lighthouse, Stanley Park and downtown Vancouver.

For half a century, our community in partnership with the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation, has built something truly unique: an inclusive, welcoming ocean access centre for all. Whether you’re a paddler, sailor, rower or just someone who loves being by the water, this celebration is for you.
