Sneak Peak: Vancouver International Boat Show

The Arc Sport electric boat is making its Canadian premier at the Vancouver International Boat Show this week at booth 1330, January 14 to 18.

Fully electric boats are still few and far between, and the Arc Sport is already a standout claiming to be the first all-electric wake boat. The Arc Sport will be introduced by EV Marine Canada, the exclusive dealer for Western Canada.

“There hasn’t been anything truly new in wake boating for a long time, and the Arc Sport feels like a real shift for the industry,” said EV Marine Canada CEO Erik Anderson. “We knew right away it was something we had to bring to Canada.”

The all-electric design means silent cruising, lower running costs and zero emissions. With the 2,300-pound battery stowed in the aft hull, the boat is well balanced to create perfect waves in your wake. The battery offers four to 10 hours of range depending on speed and takes 70 minutes to refuel on a fast charger.

The Arc Sport will be on display at booth 1330 for the public to see the first fully electric wake boat.

Lily Anderson, three-time world champion wake surfer and daughter to EV Marine Canada CEO says, “This boat completely changes the game…. The wave is dialed for surfers of all levels, so you can just focus on riding instead of worrying about the boat.”

The electric motor offers an equivalent of 500 horsepower. The boat’s top speed is 40 miles per hour and can go from zero to 35 in just under seven seconds. At 23 feet long, the Arc Sport hosts up to 15 people.

The base model has 85 cubic-feet of storage with four board slots, which can be upgraded to six. Other upgrades include a navigation package with bow and stern thrusters, a wake package with 1,410 more pounds of ballast and an upgraded sound package with 8.8-inch speakers and a 12-inch subwoofer.

The Arc Sport is on display throughout the Boat Show for attendees to get an up-close look at. This is just one of hundreds of displays to check out this week at the Vancouver International Boat Show.
